CBD resin: how to read reviews before buying

Reviews published directly on a seller's own site are not always independently verified. A high average rating guarantees neither the legal compliance of the product nor consistency from one batch to the next. Reviews remain useful for judging service (delivery times, responsiveness of support), but rarely for judging the actual strength or purity of a resin.

Several objective elements complete the picture that reviews give:

• A certificate of analysis (CoA) per batch, dated and issued by an accredited laboratory independent of the seller.
• A complete product sheet: origin of the hemp variety, extraction method, CBD and THC levels.
• An identifiable customer service, with an address in France or the European Union and visible legal notices.
• Coherent pricing: a price that is abnormally low compared with the market often points to dilution or insufficient quality control.

Very short reviews, published in a burst over a short period, or that offer nothing but generic phrases ("great product", "fast") give little verifiable information. Conversely, a review that describes the taste, the texture, the date of delivery and compares it with another product is far more useful in forming a view.

Also check reviews published on third-party platforms (independent comparison sites, specialist forums) rather than on the seller's site alone, to limit the risk of a biased selection of positive feedback.

Selling CBD resin has been authorised in France since the ruling of the Conseil d'État of 29 December 2022 (no. 444887), provided the delta-9-THC level of the finished product remains at or below 0.30%. A serious seller states this compliance clearly and provides the CoA on request, without evasion. The absence of a clear answer to that question is in itself a warning sign.

How can you tell whether a customer review is fabricated?

Look for concrete details (order date, sensory description, comparison with another purchase). Generic reviews, or ones published in quick succession over a few days, are more likely to be artificial.

Should you rely on the number of reviews alone?

No. A recent seller may be reliable, and a long-established one may have let quality slip. An up-to-date CoA remains the most objective criterion, whatever the volume of reviews.

What should you do if the certificate of analysis is not provided?

Do not buy, or explicitly ask for the document before ordering. A seller who cannot produce a dated CoA tied to the batch does not guarantee the legal compliance of the product.

Are very low prices always suspicious?

Not systematically, but a wide gap from the market average warrants a closer check of the actual CBD level and of the absence of contaminants.
