Pharmacology
Cannabidivarin differs from CBD by a three-carbon side chain instead of five, which comes from a distinct biosynthetic branch starting at CBGVA. It is non-intoxicating and its documented activity is centred on TRPV1 and TRPA1 channels rather than on cannabinoid receptors. It has been the subject of clinical research, which remains rare enough among minor cannabinoids to be worth noting.
