Pharmacology

JWH-032 is an N-propyl naphthoylpyrrole, a research compound from the program of John W. Huffman at Clemson University. It differs from JWH-030 by a chain two carbons shorter than the pentyl chain. In the 2014 review by Wiley et al., naphthoylpyrroles with an N-alkyl chain from methyl to propyl do not bind the CB1 receptor (Ki above 10 000 nM), whereas JWH-030 reaches a Ki of 87 nM. CB2 affinity and functional efficacy are not documented in the sources consulted, and no human data were found.

History

Source

Origin (pharmaceutical research → illicit market)

No known biosynthetic pathway: a synthetic organic molecule from the acylpyrrole chemical family. No manufacturing process is described here.
