Olivette
In slang, an olivette is a small amount of hash hand-rolled into an olive shape — a street resale unit, usually around a gram. The word names a format, never a specific substance.
The term belongs to street-dealing vocabulary: hash is portioned into oval balls rolled in the palm, easy to conceal and to exchange. The shape gave the name. What an olivette contains is, by construction, unknown to the buyer: neither variety, nor potency, nor purity can be verified on a product with no packaging and no traceability.
It is the format where parallel-market risks concentrate: adulterants (henna, paraffin, even tyre rubber in the oldest documented cases; sprayed synthetic cannabinoids in recent seizures), unpredictable THC content, and no possible dosing information.
The existence of a legal hash market changes the terms of the trade-off: compliant CBD or CBG resin is bought with a viewable certificate of analysis, a measured potency and an identifiable seller. The difference is not moral, it is documentary.
