Pharmacology

CUMYL-NBMICA is a synthetic indole-3-carboxamide and a full CB1 receptor agonist according to Pulver et al. (2023). It belongs to three norbornylmethyl SCRAs whose Ki values lie between 0.25 and 1.87 nM, although the published abstract does not give the value specific to this compound. Described in 2021 from seizures, including a pure powder, it has no clinical or toxicological study in humans. The sources consulted come from in vitro pharmacology and forensic analysis, and the question of its French legal status remains open.

History

Source
An entirely synthetic molecule, absent from cannabis and from any other plant. It belongs to the norbornylmethyl-side-chain SCRAs that reached the drug market between 2019 and 2021, a series described as having circumvented German legislation. This compound was seized as a pure powder, whereas two other members of the series were found mixed with plant products.

Origin (pharmaceutical research → illicit market)

No known biosynthetic pathway: a synthetic molecule belonging to the indole-3-carboxamide class.
