That documentary discipline, costly in time, remains the minimum safety net for a serious operator.

CBD products intended to be ingested (oils, capsules, infusions) also fall under Novel Food status at European level, overseen by EFSA (the European Food Safety Authority). That status imposes specific authorisation requirements before ingestible cannabinoids can be placed on the market, distinct from those applying to flowers sold as they are.
